Most Disliked

While Jackie's Diner impresses many, some guests report occasional wait times, especially during peak lunch hours. A common critique involves the macaroni salad being a little too heavy on mayonnaise for some tastes. Though subjective, this feedback suggests that adjustments could enhance the dish's appeal to a broader audience. Note that prices might seem a bit high for a diner setting, but given the generous portion sizes and overall quality, many believe it justifies the cost. For first-time visitors, a bit of guidance on the expansive menu could be helpful, as choices can be overwhelming—though it’s a delicious dilemma to have.

Nice little strip mall diner. Found this place after another local spot down the street didn't work out. I'm SO glad that we found it. It was meant to be. Kind, quick service, and excellent food. Tried a variety of items, all of which were good. The only item that fell a little short for us was the mac salad, but that's only because we felt it was heavy on the mayo, but that's also subjective. If we're back in the area, we would definitely return. Recommend to any visitors looking to try some local favs and traditional HI foods. The staff was very sweet and took the time to answer our food questions.

Went there from a recommendation and glad I went there. The service was great and also the food. I ordered the tripe stew and it really tasted like how my mom used to make it. I ate and drank the soup to the last drop.

Ordered takeout after walking up and down the area. We couldn’t decide on what to get so we got a bunch of food. All of it was delicious. The poke bowls were our favorite. Everything in it went so well together and the portion sizes were perfect per person! The kalbi was tender and tasty. The Mac salad was made with spaghetti noodles. That was a first for me. I liked it a lot. It’s a bit pricy but the portion sizes and flavor made it worth it. They taped everything down for our drive home. Wish we were closer, I could go for another one of their poke bowls!

Before I left to return to CA, my family shared Jackie's Diner with me. The service was excellent and the food wow. Had Pateles, beef stew, poi, poke so good. I recommended your restaurant to 4 of my friends who will be visiting. Thank you!
